Arising from the needs of returning people to their homes and in line with the Peace Recovery and Development Plan (PRDP), EPPOVHA plans to sink more  deep water wells (boreholes) in sub-counties in Gulu district to address the water and sanitation needs of these returning people.

In many households, children (especially girls), are kept out of school so that they can perform this and other related chores. In the Acholi sub-region, the sinking of deep and shallow water wells will put a clean,

EPPOVHA has taken up the basic need of water and sanitation in the context of return and resettlement of the suffering population. Water ranks the number priority in the daily needs of the population in Gulu. Women and families undergo a lot of pain in accessing water as they have to walk long distances ,que up even in the night for water. They have are vulnerable to abuses including rape and domestic violence.
