The idea of founding EPPOVHA was first initiated in 1997 by Mr. Oyugi Jackson, a veteran Educationist, and Pastor immediately after he had successfully completed a course in Project Planning and Management.

You can make a BIG Change!

The people of northern Uganda have lived in conflict for a long time in appalling situations in camps. In 2006, a significant part of northern Uganda became relatively stable. People began to return home in the midst of land wrangles, water shortages, and shortage of basic services.

 
Achievements

The organisation has operated in 12 areas (sub counties and divisions) in northern Uganda: Lamogi, Alero, Anaka, and Kilak in Amuru District; in Awach, Bungatira, Koro, Paicho and Palaro in Gulu District; and in Bardege, Laroo, Layibi, and Pece divisions of Gulu municipality.

EPPOVHA is involved in several activities in abid to achieve its objectives, which include, Conflict resolution, entrepreneurship training, HIV/AIDS awareness, violence prevention, among several others
